Events
MHF hosts events for its participants and anyone from the community who would like to join in or spectate.
Some events, like HEMA Labs, are paid per participant, and others are free! Here are some of our events and what they entail.
HEMA Labs
MHF is proud to present "HEMA Labs," which is a series of tournaments for fencers who would like to participate in experimental rulesets, like:
- Continuous Fencing
- Capture the Flag
- Mercenary (an MHF invented game type!)
- Target Fencing
...and many many more!
Registration for HEMA Labs events is done on site, the day of the tournament, but it is always nice to let us know you are coming with an email or by hitting that "Going" button on Facebook.
Our next HEMA Labs is on June 7th at 2:30pm.

Dios de los Muertos Celebration
Our mascot, the Monarch butterfly, is an important part of our identity here at MHF. It represents the spirits of the dead visiting us from the afterlife, encouraging and protecting us in our pursuits today.
MHF holds a special celebration during the Days of the Dead (November 1st and 2nd) in order to honor the memory of our ancestors and have fun with people of all ages in our community. Stay tuned for this year's plans!
